2020 Northeast Indoor Showcase (Sunday)
Christopher Antonelli is a 2020 RHP/3B with a 6-1 193 lb. frame from Yonkers, NY who attends Archbishop Stepinac. Recorded a 5.23 second 40-yd dash time. Physical build with broad shoulders and room to physically mature. Primary right-handed pitcher with a deceptive delivery, loose arm action and projectable frame. Uses a deliberate rocker step into a high, coiled leg lift with slight turn away from hitter for deception, working into an extended three-quarters arm slot with some looseness. Fastball worked in the 81-86 mph range with ability to sink or cut the pitch to both sides of the plate and miss barrels. Easy life to to fastball with projection for more velocity in the future. Mixed in sweeping breaking ball to disrupt hitters timing that varied in shape, showing best with more horizontal tilt. Secondary third basemen with stationary athleticism, good footwork and arm strength recorded up to 88 mph across the diamond. Right-hand hitter with slightly open stance, hover trigger and good connection through contact. Inside swing path with inconsistent barrel accuracy that will improve with proper swing adjustments. Whole field approach with ability to adjust and turn on the inner-half. Good Student. Verbal commitment to Felician College. Named to the 2020 Northeast Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
