Trey Wheeler is a 2022 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Indialantic, FL who attends Melbourne. Left-handed pitcher with a medium frame and build with some room to fill and add strength. Starts from the windup with a small side step into a leg lift just below the belt. Has a drifting lower half down the mound, staying compact in the back and showing some quickness to the arm from a high three-quarter slot. Shows good command of the fastball at 84-87mph, mixing speeds well with a pair of secondary offerings. Shows some feel for a low-70s curveball with short 1-7 shape and tunnels a low-70s changeup well with a similar release. Good student.
