Mitch Murrell is a 2019 RHP/1B with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Ocean Springs, MS who attends Ocean Springs HS. Large frame with projectable build; good room to fill out remaining. Righthanded pitcher, longer arm stroke through the back with tight circle, stays inline through delivery and repeats well with athletic rhythm, generates good extension upon release, high three quarters slot with plane, fastball worked 82-85 mph and peaked at 86 mph with slight cut. Showed curveball with 11/5 shape and very good spin, sharp with quality depth. Worked both sides of the plate and attacked hitters, flashed a slider as well with some sweeping action to it. Very good performance. Good student.
