Ashton Crowther is a 2022 LHP/1B with a 6-4 200 lb. frame from New Port Richey, FL who attends James W. Mitchell. Strong athletic build with good length and plenty of room to get stronger. High leg raise delivery with plenty of lower half turn and rotation, extended 3/4's arm slot. Works 2-seam/4-seam with his fastball, 4-seamer is up 92 mph, 2-seamer has nice life running away from right handed hitters, has confidence in both pitches and spots them well. Slider is a solid second pitch with good bite and depth and nice angle from his 3/4's slot. Rare change but it showed promise with nice arm speed and life. Classic starter profile with some projection left. Good student, verbal commitment to Miami.
