Mitchell Hans is a 2023 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-1 210 lb. frame from Fairway, KS who attends Shawnee Mission East. Big and strong build. Right handed hitter at the plate, hits from a spread and slightly open stance with a high leg raise trigger, occasionally drifts out front in his shift, aggressive swing with an uphill swing plane, looking to lift the ball and shows strength when he squares it up, power approach with a power body. 8.24 runner in the sixty. Showed good footwork at first base and strong overall fundamentals, plenty of arm for the position and made accurate throws, asset on defense at first base. Took a turn on the mound, worked from the stretch with a small leg raise start, long flat arm takeaway with a 3/4's arm slot. Mid-70's fastball, topped out at 77 mph, mostly straight. Also threw a sweeping slurve type slider that had some spin and depth. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
