Preston Knott is a 2021 SS/2B/OF with a 5-7 145 lb. frame from Arlington, TX who attends Martin. Ran a 7.30 second sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop with a young frame that has room to fill out and add strength. Has developing footwork, positioning well to field with a deeper funnel. Rounds well in approach, with a smooth transition to throw. Takes a couple of shuffles before delivering accurate throws across the diamond at 75 miles per hour. Has a narrow stance at the plate, with a small leg lift trigger and high hand set. Has a limited shift to contact, using quick hands in a high-contact approach. Uses the middle of the field, with a line drive barrel plane and developing power. The power at the plate will continue to develop as the frame matures physically. Excellent student.
