Nate Voss is a 2022 C/3B with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Oak Lawn, IL who attends Marist. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present physical strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran a 7.09 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower set behind the plate and gets out of crouch very quickly, similar quickness to transfer and repeats actions well, accurate throws with carry on throws to second base, quickness to arm, projects moving forward with added refinement. Right-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Employs a short stride moving into contact, simple swing and shows strength, looks to work the gaps at point of contact. Barrel tilt at start of swing, shows best carry to pull side and attacks the ball out front. Excellent student. Verbal commitment to Michigan.
