Yonadsan Vargas is a 2026 C/OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Riverdale, NJ who attends Hudson Catholic. Vargas works from a medium athletic build with strength proportioned nicely throughout. As a primary C, he started from a squared set and displayed a clean transfer with lots of effort at release. He effectively gained ground in the footwork and remained on top of throws, ultimately posting a 2.11 pop time. From the OF, he showcased a controlled buildup with sound movements and a full arm action to top out at 81 mph. On the offensive end, the left handed hitter started from a narrow base with a low hover trigger, creating leverage when timed up to generate solid impact to the pull side of the field. He flashed looseness to the hands and effectively got the barrel out in front, posting an exit velo of 81 mph. Ran a 7.75 sixty yard dash.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
