Erik Tapia is a 2022 RHP/SS with a 5-10 135 lb. frame from Kansas, KS who attends Bishop Ward. Lean, projectable build. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.19 seconds. A primary RHP who throws out of a 3/4 arm slot. His FB sat 81-85 mph with arm side running action. He also showed a CB that had 11/5 shape with some tightness to it. Also has a CH in the arsenal that he throws with FB arm speed and it showed late fading action. In the infield he showed soft hands when fielding balls to both sides of his body and his top throw across the diamond was clocked at 87 mph. With the bat he hits out of a upright, slightly open stance. Uses a flat bat path through the zone that is conducive to producing line drives to all-fields of the diamond.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
