Sawyer Cannon is a 2026 1B/LHP/OF with a 5-10 164 lb. frame from Raleigh, NC who attends Sanderson. Young athlete with solid frame, good muscular development and a lot of time for further growth. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.73 seconds. Primary position 1B, displaying smooth actions and feel around the bag. Clean glove work securing the ball well leading to midline transfer and easy release. Solid arm and accurate throws up to 75 mph across the diamond. RHH starting with a high hand set and high back elbow and striding in towards plate. Some timing issues early in round but started getting extended later and showed pull side loft. Good strength in hands with future power projection. LHP, working from the stretch and in the middle of the rubber. Sets hands at belt and works up to waist high leg lift. Deliberate inline arm path into 3/4 arm angle. Works over front side well, repeating release point and filling up the strike zone. Showed FB up 75 mph that generated mostly ground balls. Secondary offerings were vertical CB in the mid-60's with rolling break and CH with some fade and subtle speed differential. Really good two-way potential here and plenty of time for overall development.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
