Cole Forcellina is a 2021 RHP/IF with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Norwalk, CT who attends Brien Mcmahon. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable frame with room to fill throughout. Ran a 6.92 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, begins with a side step moving into delivery, leg lift up past belt and gets tall on backside; strides online and finishes tall, low effort release with a full and loose arm action working to a high three-quarters release point at times. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, hard sinking life to it through the zone when extended out front. Fastball can get on hitters, worked mostly off of it but flashed a curveball with 11-5 shape and lands it for strikes with the comfort to triple up on the pitch. Fields the ball out front in the infield, works low behind it, hands play nicely at the ball and shows carry across the diamond from a lower slot, athleticism plays. Righthanded hitter, begins with a bent knee stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, utilizes a toe tap trigger for timing in the box. Glides into contact, stays short to the ball and repeats well, can continue to refine mechanics moving forward. Quickness to barrel, keeps hands inside, projects with additional extension out front, looks to lift at point of contact. Good student.
