Louis Jordan is a 2020 3B/RHP/OF with a 6-2 177 lb. frame from New York, NY who attends Academy for Software Engineering. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a projectable build, projectable build with long limbs and room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.15 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, athletic actions moving towards the ball with long strides, utilizes a crow hop well to generate momentum, works on top of throws and shows carry and present arm strength to intended base from a longer arm stroke. Upright actions in the infield and can incorporate additional footwork through the ball, shows balance once underway. Also pitched, shows a long and loose arm action working to a three-quarters release point; fastball topped out at 85 mph from traditional slot, mostly true in life, did drop slot and worked in upper-70s with nice running life. Developing feel on the mound, shows best command working out of the stretch, flashed a curveball at 62 mph. Righthanded hitter, begins begins with an upright and open stance at the plate; upper body dominant swing and can continue to implement additional lower half into mechanics. Looks to lift at the point of contact with leverage to path, able to create backspin with lift. Best contact to pull side, has tools to continue to develop moving forward, generates nice bat speed through the zone, jump when squared. Very good student. Named to the Mid-Atlantic Top Prospect List.
