Owen Abney is a 2022 3B/RHP/MIF with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Madison, MS who attends Jackson Prep. Medium athletic build with good present strength. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base with limited lower half shift into contact, rotational swing with good bat speed and some strength at contact, flashes carry to the pull side, line drive swing plane. 7.42 runner in the sixty. Has good bounce to his actions defensively in the infield, plenty of athleticism for third base, fields through the ball and fields it cleanly, plenty of arm strength with good accuracy. Solid all around player with good strength. Elite level student.
