Nicholas Moten is a 2021 SS/RHP with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Florissant, MO who attends Westminster Christian Academy. Medium athletic build with room to get stronger. 7.15 runner, is light on his feet on defense and has good footwork through the ball, smooth and quick hands with a quick exchange, charges the ball well and makes accurate throws, has the tools to stay in the middle infield at the next level. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a late hand load, hands tend to be late firing due to his late timing, has a simple and direct swing once his hands get going, shows some lift in his swing and squares up well when on time. Also pitched, potential two-way prospect. Arm works very well on the mound, smooth and easy, compact in back, slow to fast pace in his mechanics. Fastball topped out at 88 mph, mostly straight. Tends to get under his breaking ball, best at higher velocities with a slider shape. Good athlete who will continue to improve. Good student. Named to the National Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
