Jake Daneff is a 2022 SS/RHP, 2B, OF with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Kansas City, MO who attends Park Hill. Recorded a 7.44 second 60 yard dash time. Medium sized and projectable frame with plenty of room to fill. Primary shortstop with a passive approach, short arm action with some zip across the infield. Controlled and smooth defensive actions, shows good hands on both sides and consistent accuracy on the throws. Outfielder with a small crow hop into a long arm action, carries momentum well and shows great carry at 88 mph. Secondary pitcher with a long arm stroke, fastball has some jump to it at 86 mph. Shows a curveball with vertical movement and a shorter and sharper slider that he tunnels well. Comfortable throwing both off speed pitches for strikes and garnered swings and misses with them. Has definite two-way potential. Left-handed hitter with a hanging leg lift trigger, creates big vertical bat tilt during the load. Super balanced and fluid operation with present bat speed and hand quickness. Middle to pull side approach, produced solid contact when on time. Not the best results in this look, but the swing projects very well. Good student. Named to the 2021 National Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
