Joey Amunategui is a 2023 3B/RHP/1B with a 6-1 178 lb. frame from Merritt Island, FL who attends Cocoa Beach. Large frame with a lean build. High waist with room to fill out physically making him projectable. Ran a 7.34 second sixty yard dash. Primary Third Baseman, good first step proving to have lateral range. Gathers out front while low in the stance. Quick transfer and release with accuracy to throws. Threw it 75 mph during drills. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, working into a side step to a belt high lift. Hands sink as he works into motion before striding out. Lands direct to dish and proved he could repeat. Longer arm swing and released from a higher slot. Mechanically sound delivery. Fastball up to 77 mph and also mixed in a breaking ball showing slurvy actions in the low-60's. Right-Handed Hitter, starting with a wide base and high hands. Loads before shifting weight. Fires the hips and hands while letting the legs create even more bat speed. Proved he could get extended and drive it deep to the pull-side. Projects as a power bat down the road. Great Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
