Haiden Letzing is a 2021 OF/RHP/C with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Surrey, BC who attends Fleetwood Park Secondary. Athletic frame with longer limbs and a lean build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary outfielder with fluid footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Funnels the baseball cleanly and worked through exchange with a loose arm circle. Released from a three-quarters slot created solid carry out of hand topping at 82 mph. Also worked out defensively from behind the plane showing a side set stance while receiving the baseball. Receives the baseball out front and gains ground towards the bag while working out of crouch. Loose, smooth exchange and released from a three-quarters slot. Throws created on line carry to the bag topping at 75 mph, best workout pop time of 2.14. Right handed hitter with a balanced, even stance and simple front side trigger. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose hand path to contact with a naturally leveraged barrel plane through extension. Swung with intent and showed good strength at contact when delivering barrel head to contact out front. Primarily looked to drive the baseball to the middle of the field and pull side gap. Also pitched utilizing a side step to medium leg lift delivery. Utilized a longer stride down the mound while landing in lie with target. Loose arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters slot. Fastball created some jump out of hand with downhill tilt in the upper 70's to low 80's, topped at 81 mph. Curveball had 10/5 shape with solid spin and proper depth in the mid 60's. Also flashed a changeup offering the generated good fade to arm side in the mid 70's.
