Giovanni Febus is a 2022 SS/2B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Miramar, FL who attends ESB Academy. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present physical strength proportioned throughout. Ran a 6.74 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, moves well on feet and attacks the ball with quickness, clean actions and repeats them well while showing range to either side, soft hands with sound glove skills and showed big arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Busy load but does a nice job of staying compact through the zone with swing path. Works on a linear path and generates occasionally leverage out front, shows comfort working to pull side. Good student. Verbal commitment to Alabama State.
