2021 Fall Connecticut Showcase
Jean Nunez is a 2022 SS/RHP/IF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from New York, NY who attends St. Raymond HS For Boys. Strong athletic build, especially in his lower half. Switch-hitter at the plate, showed bat speed and solid swing mechanics from both sides of the plate, bit more bat speed from the right side at present but is a true switch-hitter, hits from an open stance with a nice short path to the ball, showed the ability to both hit inside the ball for solid mid field line drive contact and to turn on pitches with power and intent, really hit well in the games. 7.30 runner in the sixty. Has third base actions and tools on defense in the infield, good arm strength when he needs it but also has a quick release on his throws in games, charges the ball well and can throw on the run. Also pitched, works from the stretch with a slow paced deliberate delivery and a big gather on his backside, repeats his mechanics well and fills up the strike zone. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, maintained his velocity well, fastball was mostly straight with occasional cut but got on hitters quickly and generated swing/miss. Breaking ball was a 11/5 curveball that flashed good depth. Solid all around athlete with good strength and skills. Named to the Fall Connecticut Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
