Luis Perez is a 2022 RHP with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Windermere, FL who attends The First Academy. Younger frame with lots of room to add strength and size to the frame. Primary righthanded pitcher who only threw during the event. Throws exclusively from the stretch with a leg lift at the belt and a longer arm stroke. Looseness to the arm circle and the fastball generates natural sinking action to it. Lands online toward the plate with a balanced and low effort release. Keeps the arm online well and worked in a 11/5 curveball with some feel to spin. Replicates fastball plane on the breaker and maintains his three-quarters arm slot with it. Fastball is deceptive and plays up in the zone; threw a lot of strikes. Good student.
