Mason Koons is a 2022 SS/RHP/OF with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Galloway, OH who attends Hilliard Bradley. Medium athletic build with some present strength and room for plenty more. Right handed hitter, has a long and loose swing with some extension out front, ball comes off the barrel well and he showed his power in the games, can create back spin and carry, has good timing with a gliding leg lift trigger, consistently stayed short to the ball, has hitting tools to continue to develop. 7.13 runner in the sixty. Second base tools on defense, can use his lower half more working behind and into the ball, high release point on his throws. Also pitched, fast paced delivery with an early front side out front. Mid-70's fastball topped out at 78 mph. Curveball was his best pitch this outing, had confidence in it and threw it for strikes. Bat is his best tool. Very good student.
