Kevin Castro is a 2022 LHP/ with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Belen Jesuit Prep. Medium frame, lean and athletic build with a good chance to add strength. Primary left-handed pitcher, shows a smooth and polished delivery with a big leg lift above the belt. Comes from an over the top slot with a long arm action in the back. Pounds the outer half with the fastball. Shows great feel for the curveball, led off every inning with one, comfortable landing it for strikes. Big 12-6 shape with heavy tumbling action, north to south drop and movement. Has the tendency to fall off to the glove side, causes the arm to come through late. Struggles with command at times, at his best when pulling down hard on the front side. Excellent student.
