Matthew Correa is a 2023 2B/RHP, 3B, MIF, OF with a 5-6 130 lb. frame from Port Saint Lucie, FL who attends John Carroll Catholic. shorter and proportioned build with easy room to grow. Ran a 7.28 in the sixty yard dash. A primary infielder, quick feet with good lateral range and glides around the infield taking good angles and working the feet through transfer and release. Accurate arm and gets rid of the ball quickly. A right-handed hitter, starts slightly open and balanced with his base using a deep hand load and fires the hips with a good sequence in the process. Toe tap trigger and flat path lead to a line drive approach. A secondary pitcher, athletic delivery with a clean and easy break and solid shoulder speed. The ball jumps out of the hand with deception and he spun a tight curveball that has swing and miss potential. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
