Safwan Shariff is a 2021 1B/RHP with a 6-5 215 lb. frame from Bethpage, NY who attends St. Dominic. XL frame with strong, physical build; ran 40 yard dash in 5.38 seconds. Hits from even-based stance with some crouch to posture, strength is evident and stands out, has bat speed on linear plane, minimal hand load, turns well and impacts the ball out front with intent, lots of strength it shows up in swing, makes consistent hard contact. Worked out at first base, hands work when out front, some rigidity to lower half, turns with balance, clocked up to 67 mph on throws. Very good student, lots to like about offensive profile.
