Finley Buckner is a 2023 SS/OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Oak Park, CA who attends Oaks Christian HS. Recorded a 6.84 second 60-yard dash time. Physical build with broad shoulders, a high waist, and lots of room to add strength. Primary shortstop with clean transfers and short footwork. Accurate from multiple slots with quick releases. Feel for the position is evident with arm strength as evidenced by his 88 mph throws from the outfield. Right-handed hitter with a wide base, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Short leg lift trigger into contact and has loft to the swing plane. Fluid barrel head and can work both sides of the field well. Will show more power as he turns the barrel over more consistently. Tremendous student. Verbal commitment to California.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
