Luke Boone is a 2022 OF/RHP, 3B with a 6-4 200 lb. frame from Richmond Hill, GA who attends Richmond Hill. Recorded a 6.83 second sixty-yard dash time. Long, lean frame with loads of projection remaining. Primary outfielder with solid fundamentals throughout the fielding process, present arm strength and carry to his throws. Incorporates slightly anticipatory footwork to field slightly off his front foot, gathering fairly clean and maintaining momentum through release effectively. Displayed good carry and accuracy to his throws, recording arm strength up to 90 mph in drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look. Balanced delivery with slightly higher leg lift and drop/drive lower half movements down the slope. Works from a higher three-quarters arm slot, while displaying a short, quick arm stroke on the backside. Fastball worked in the mid-80s for the majority of his outing, topping out at 87 mph in this look and flashing occasional cut to it. Creates some deception due to slightly cross-fire release, Mixed in two secondary offerings that show potential for future swing-and-miss capabilities. Curveball flashes more horizontal action to it then vertical at present, creating tough angle for hitters to see it. Well-replicated changeup has good speed differential to it, while flashing future potential with good fade. Right-handed hitter that hits from a hunched, slightly open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and small hover trigger. Gap-to-Gap approach with good present bat speed and some feel for the barrel. Displays slightly longer path which inhibits bat-to-ball skills slightly but displays emerging power potential with loud impact to the pull-side when in-sync. Solid overall prospect with high upside on the mound and intriguing power potential at the plate. Excellent Student. Named to the 2020 National Underclass East Top Prospect List.
