David Harber is a 2007 C/3B/OF from Bearden High School in Farragut, TN, with a 5'10'', 180 lb. frame. He has a good catcher's body with present strength and durability. Harber moves his feet well behind the plate, and stays low and compact on his throws to second base. He had solid pop times, with a best of 2.06. He moves well from side to side and blocks balls in the dirt effectively. At the plate he is a left handed hitter who hits from a crouch stance with a quiet set-up and no load approach. Harber has a slight uppercut swing with solid bat speed, and he stays balanced throughout his swing. He hit better during the games staying inside the ball and driving the ball to left field. He stayed on the ball longer making solid contact, and centered the ball well. He is a solid catcher with developing skills.
