James Wimsatt is a 2025 SS/2B with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Westerville, OH who attends Olentangy Orange. Compact build with some present strength. Right handed hitter, has a simple load and trigger from an upright stance, loads his hands tight, turns his hips hard to drive his swing and creates some bat speed, has some lift in his swing and gets some carry in the air, worked gap to gap and stayed behind the ball well, projects well as a hitter. 7.07 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense, works low to the ground and stays behind the ball well, solid glove actions with some hand quickness, can get a bit snatchy at times, stays balanced on the move well and can make plays charging and moving laterally. Good athlete with some fundamentals who should keep improving. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
