Paxton Matthews is a 2023 3B/C/OF with a 5-6 120 lb. frame from Ft. Worth, TX who attends Fort Worth Country Day. Ran an 8.33 second sixty-yard dash. Primary third baseman with a young frame. Has developing footwork and ability to consistently get into a plus fielding position. Rounds the ball well with a deeper funnel, and has developing arm strength with accurate throws the diamond at 66 miles per hour. Has an open stance with a hanging load and high back elbow at the plate. Works from a high hand set and shows an ability to let the ball travel and drive it the other way. Flashes the ability to spray to all fields. Good student.
