Maximo Villamizar is a 2021 RHP/1B/OF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Doral, FL who attends Doral Academy Charter. Larger athletic frame with plenty of room to get stronger, looks taller than listed. Deceptive delivery and arm action, has a short takeaway and hides the ball very effectively. Fastball topped out at 74 mph with outstanding run and sink at times, got lots of swing/miss on his fastball with his movement and deception, pounds the strike zone with his fastball and works very quickly. Short breaking curveball that is effective moving the other direction from his fastball. Very efficient outing. Right handed hitter, hits from a tall narrow stance with a short downward swing plane, pull ground ball contact, aggressive as a baserunner.
