Jackson Meng is a 2023 C/3B with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Albuquerque, NM who attends La Cueva. Medium build with room to still fill out and grow as he continues to develop. Primary catcher, has a square set up with a conventional crouch. Transfers quickly and gets the ball out of his hands in a hurry. Posted a 2.12 second pop time down to second base. At the plate, uses a tall and slightly open stance with a simple stride trigger. Efficient linear weight shift in the box. Higher handset, hands work down through the zone well. Longer overall finish with a middle to pull side approach. Good student in the classroom as well.
