William Hovey is a 2022 2B/OF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Chapel Hill, NC who attends Carrboro. Recorded a 7.58 in the 60-yard dash. Primary second baseman fields the ball out front creating good angles with a long throw and a quick transfer throwing 77 mph across the diamond. Secondary outfielder plays through the ball very well fielding it out front and accurately throwing the ball at a recorded 77 mph to the bases. Right-handed hitter steps up to the plate with an open and narrow stance, a high leg lift trigger, and loads the backside well using good hip rotation. Hovey works the ball pull side with good barrel control and pop off the bat. Tremendous student. Named to the Spring Atlantic Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.
