Coleson Coffey is a 2020 1B/3B/C/RHP with a 5-11 195 lb. frame from Sapulpa, OK who attends Sapulpa HS. Medium frame with a solid build. Primary first baseman with clean footwork while moving off the bag and centering the baseball. Fluid glove actions at pick up and exchange. Clean footwork while pivoting to second base. Also worked out defensively from the infield showing smooth paced, deliberate footwork. Developing fluidity while working through the baseball with occasional lateral range. Throws produced some on line carry across the infield with developing accuracy. Right handed hitter with a simple, repeatable path to contact. Shifts into contact well and employed a naturally lifted barrel plane through extension. Flashed strength at contact with the ability to turn the barrel and drive the ball to the gap when on time and squared. Also pitched showing a compact, side step delivery. Compact arm circle at take back and created good arm side life with a fastball offering that topped at 81 miles per hour. Curveball had 12/6 shape with solid spin and good depth. Maintained arm speed with with breaking ball offering that created good deception. Consistently changed speeds and induced weak contact.
