2022 Jupiter Qualifier Workout Showcase
Juan Cornelio is a 2022 C/1B with a 5-11 205 lb. frame from San Juan, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy. Ran a 7.77 second sixty. Primary catcher with a medium build showing some strength in the lower half. Sits in a side straddle behind the dish rocking into the throws while receiving it out front. Gains ground into the throws with a longer transfer as he gets to a taller throwing position showing solid arm strength from a shorter arm action. Right-handed hitter, starts even loading his weight onto the back side creating some separation with the short stride forward. The bat path works smooth through the hitting zone creating some easy lift to the pull side with flashes of strength at the point of contact driving the ball best to the pull side.
