Gabriel Tamayo is a 2022 2B/C, 3B, IF, UT with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Miami Coral Park HS. Recorded a 7.35 second 60-yard dash time. Medium frame with room to add strength to the build. Primary second baseman with a lower arm slot and moves well to both sides. Good body control with some smoothness and had throws recorded up to 78 mph. Right-handed hitter with a wide base and a leg lift into the load. Lower hand set with a flat barrel path and some hand speed. Top hand dominant swing with some extension out in front. Has looseness and generates some leverage out in front. Big strength at contact and has power when generated out in front. Impressed with a 92 mph exit velo. Also pitched and struck out a batter in his inning of work while only allowing 1 hit. Tremendous student.
