Jacob Kelvington is a 2023 OF/LHP with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends Edgewater. Medium frame with a sturdy build showing strength throughout. Ran a 7.21 second sixty yard dash. Primary Outfielder, sitting back on it a bit before working into short, choppy steps. Clean gather to the side as he carries momentum well into release. Quick transfer as he threw it 84 mph with carry while keeping throws down. Fundamentally sound in his actions during drills. Secondary Left-Handed Pitcher, working into a short step forward before flashing a higher leg lift. Compressed at the top a bit before working down the hill. Medium arm circle and released from a three-quarter slot. Hides the baseball well due to some crossfire in the delivery. Fastball sinks and even cut at times as he topped out at 82 mph. Also proved he could spin a big vertical breaking ball for strikes. Left-Handed Hitter, even base with high hands. Knee lift to stride as he lands in a balanced hitting position. Uphill path as he looks to lift the baseball and drive it for power. Proved he could backspin the baseball a bit. Outstanding Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
