Maddox Degon is a 2026 1B/RHP, 3B, SS, OF, UT with a 6-3 165 lb. frame from Buford, GA who attends Buford. Primary first baseman with a tall, physical frame, with present strength and athleticism. Recorded a 7.80 second sixty-yard dash time. Ranged well to his glove side off the bag at first base and paired his clean actions with strong throws to bases with carry and accuracy at 76-mph. Feel for the glove present, as he worked through the ball well with aggression, fielding on his toes with balance and noticeable anticipation. A secondary righthanded pitcher who delivered from a full-windup, that took a collected tempo, and a short fluid arm action, releasing his repertoire from a three-quarter slot. Fastball sat in the mid-to-upper 70's with a high at 77-mph that had straight, four-seam action. Curveball secondary at 62-mph with depth through the zone. Also participated in infield drills where the utility ballplayer worked to the ball well to either side with projectable range. Throws across the infield at 76-mph, producing throws with noticeable strength. A right-handed hitter who sets up with an open stance and hands low outside his chest. Quiet actions at the plate, as he load his weight to his backside before driving his hands through the zone creating a linear path for his bat. When lower half is involved he was able to produce line-drive result to the pull side. Loud contact at times with hit-ability present. Named to the 2022 Fall Southeast Showcase Top Performers List.
