Francesco Capocci is a 2023 RHP/3B with a 6-4 205 lb. frame from Cumming, GA who attends Denmark. Extra-large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, present strength with plenty of room to fill throughout. Runs well, posted a 6.76 60-yard. Primary right-handed pitcher, begins on the first base side of rubber, lowers hands at start of delivery, has moving parts and will to get off line with lower half mechanics at times; long and loose arm action through the backside working to a high three-quarters release point. Plenty of present arm speed coming through, fastball topped out at 93 mph and maintained velocity throughout time on mound, mostly true in life but creates some angle and deception at release. Short slider up to 79 mph, gets around it at times and flashed a changeup at 81 mph with very low spin rates. Plus arm strength across the diamond at shortstop, moves well and athleticism takes over in actions, maintained body control on the charge well, plenty of carry with accuracy to first base. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and utilizes a double toe tap trigger for timing at the plate. Rotational swing, implements strength well into swing and shows jump off of the barrel when extended out front at point of contact, can shorten overall swing moving forward. Excellent student. Verbal commitment to North Carolina.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
