Julio Acosta is a 2020 SS/IF with a 6-2 145 lb. frame from Juana Diaz, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy. Tall and very slender build, lots of room to get stronger but will never be a physical athlete. 7.02 runner, moves well defensively in the middle infield with fluid actions and athletic bounce, long and loose arm action with plenty of present arm strength, would be interesting to see on the mound. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance, big leg lift trigger, has hand quickness and can create some barrel whip, smooth and loose swing with projection if he can get stronger. Excellent student.
