2021 Sunshine Rocky Mountain Showcase (Tues/Wed)
Ben Krza is a 2024 C/3B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Littleton, CO who attends Mullen. Medium, average build. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.25 seconds. Primary catcher whose throws from behind the plate reached as high as 73 mph. Showed a very quick transfer and release which allowed him to post a 1.99 second pop time. Clean and smooth actions behind the plate. Also worked out in the outfield where his throws reached as high as 78 mph from the grass. On the offensive side of the ball he hits out of a open, narrow stance with upright posture. Showed a flat bat path through the zone and does a nice job of utilizing his lower half throughout his stroke. Excellent student.
