Joseph Urban is a 2022 SS/RHP, OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Jupiter, FL who attends Jupiter. Showed good speed with a 6.98 second 60 yard dash. A primary infielder with a medium frame, waits back on the ball, hands work soft out front with a clean funnel to the mid line, showed a full arm action working to a three-quarters release and good carry across the diamond throwing 86 mph across to first base. On the mound, showed some athleticism to the delivery throwing exclusively from the stretch, starts with a belt high leg lift with a full arm action working to a high three-quarters arm slot, fastball plays at the top of the zone with some riding life through the zone, showed a curveball with 11-5 shape and good depth through the zone, was able to get plenty of swings and misses on both offering, struck out all five hitters he faced. At the plate, his righthanded swing starts with a narrow base, showed a short bat path with quickness in the hands, consistently found the barrel with backspin to the pull side gap, recorded an 88 mph exit velocity. Named to the 2020 Florida Prospect Showcase Top Prospects List. Very good student.
