Kevin Francella is a 2023 SS/2B/3B with a 6-0 173 lb. frame from Port Chester, NY who attends Rye Country Day. Medium, square shouldered frame with plenty of lean muscle and athleticism throughout. Primary infielder with athletic actions throughout the fielding process, a clean funnel out in front and good lateral range to both sides. Displayed plenty of arm strength across the diamond and accuracy during drills. Recorded throws up to 85 mph. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, even base with a high hand set, high back elbow and toe-tap trigger. Compact, slightly lofted stroke with quickness to his hands and exceptional feel for the barrel. Transfer weight effectively into contact and creates some leverage out in front. Displayed whole field approach with loads of strength at impact and legitimate power to all fields. Well-rounded prospect with some physical upside remaining, will continue to improve with subtle refinements to his tools and additional maturity. Good Student. Verbal commitment to William & Mary University. Named to the 2022 New York Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
