Philip Devita is a 2023 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from Apopka, FL who attends Apopka HS. Recorded a 7.14 second 60-yard dash time. Slender build with lots of room to fill out and add strength. Primary right-handed pitcher who throws from the stretch only. Leg lift up to the belt with an online arm action and high three-quarters slot. Very simple turn and fire mechanics. Fairly low effort at release and can work the fastball to both sides. Changeup has good fading action with a softer 12/6 curveball. Fastball heavy approach and can miss bats with the pitch. Arm strength plays from secondary position of first base. Left-handed hitter with a slightly open stance, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Inside path to contact with a line drive oriented approach. Keeps the swing short with solid balance. Showed the hit tool off during game action. Tremendous student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
