Shawn Lara is a 2022 RHP/ with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Kissimmee, FL who attends Osceola. Medium, broad shouldered build with present strength to frame proportioned throughout. Primary righthanded pitcher, deliberate tempo, begins delivery with a leg lift up above belt, gets tall on backside, does a nice job of hiding the ball through the back with a longer, on line arm stroke working to an over-the-top release point. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, effort at release, mostly true in life but showed ability to miss bats. Will continue to develop a consistent release point, mixed a curveball at 65 mph with short 12-6 shape from similar high release point and flashed a changeup at 73 mph as well. Very good student.
