2022 Northern California Prospect Showcase
Bryce Berry is a 2024 RHP/1B with a 6-7 205 lb. frame from Livermore, CA who attends Granada. On the mound, He is a big physical presence, with long limbs he uses to create deception working out of a over the head wind up and delivering out of a cross fire mid three-quarter slot. He could benefit from working down the mound a bit more but shows some drop and drive qualities at times. Fastball 76-83 mph showed decent life with true four-quadrant command. He flashed a 2 plane breaker with high quality depth at 71-73 mph and spin it north of 2150 rpms. There's a lot to like with the frame and the looseness of the motion. At first base, he projects well at the position moving well around the bag and showing proper foot and glove work. At the plate, he sets up with a wide stance working into a moderate striding load that creates good leverage on balls hit into the pull side gap. A lot to like here, someone to keep an eye on. 7.67 60-yard. Outstanding student. Selected to the Top Prospect list.
