Alec Belardes is a 2023 RHP/1B with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from San Jose, CA who attends Valley Christian Schools. Strong athletic build. Well paced delivery with a long arm action in back, gathers over the rubber well with a big drive down the mound to give power to his delivery, works downhill very well. Fastball topped out at 90 mph with lots of late life at the bottom of the zone. High spin rate curveball up to 2800+ rmp has big depth at times. Sells his change up with plenty of arm and body speed and hard fading life. Created lots of swing and miss during his two innings of work. Three-pitch starter profile with plenty of room to keep getting better. Good student. Named to the PG Underclass All-American Games Top Prospect List.
