Zach McLean is a 2024 1B/RHP with a 6-4 215 lb. frame from Columbus, IN who attends Columbus North. Large frame with strong, physical build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.62 seconds. Graded out best on the mound, throws from high 3/4 arm slot and creates plane, fastball worked up to 87 mph with good extension through release, stays on top of fastball well, good heaviness down in zone, showed 11/5 curveball with depth. Good leverage at the plate when hitting, strength stands out, grooved stroke with slight lift, flashed power to pull-side. Solid 1B actions defensively, clean hands with bounce to footwork, turns well, clocked up to 86 mph on throws. Very good student, named to 2022 Indianapolis Indoor Top Prospect List.
