PJ Rogan is a 2023 LHP/RHP/OF with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Wildwood, MO who attends Lafayette. Features a bigger build with some strength present. Ran a 7.52 60-yard dash. Caught the ball cleanly throughout outfield defensive workouts. Displayed decent first step quickness. Creates some momentum into throws. Produces strong carry on throws with decent accuracy. Threw 82 mph from the outfield. Switch hitter. Utilizes an upright stance with a slightly open base. Mirrors the setup from both sides. Maintains body posture and fluidity well throughout the swing. Approach is geared from the middle to pullside of the field. Turns the barrel over well with the ability to catch the ball out front. Strength combines with good lower half usage to produce power to both gaps. Possesses a quality swing from both sides of the plate. Is a rare switch-pitcher as well. Utilizes a belt high leg kick with a medium stride down the mound from both sides. Throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a short arm swing with the right arm. The fastball sat 78-81 mph with both arms. Generated more armside run with the right. Threw the offering for strikes often. Flashed a mid-70’s breaking ball with slurve-like action. Still developing the bite on the offering from both sides. Ability to throw strikes with both arms allow for quick outs and make for an intriguing option on the mound. Excellent student. Named to the Indianapolis Indoor Top Prospect List.
