Oliver Cush is a 2022 SS/RHP/OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from New Albany, OH who attends New Albany. Medium athletic build with some present strength and room for plenty more. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance with a lift and replace leg load, stays simple and well timed in his mechanics, short swing path with a middle of the field approach, lots of barreled up line drive contact, pretty polished overall approach that should hit for a high average and control the zone. 7.14 runner in the sixty. Step by step actions in the infield on defense, has soft hands and works behind the ball well, makes soft accurate throws, sound fundamentally. Also plays the outfield. Took a turn on the mound, has a smooth and fluid delivery with a compact arm action. Fastball topped out at 82 mph with nice running life at times, did a good job of landing a big curveball to change hitter's eye levels. Very solid fundamental player who will keep improving as he gets stronger. Good student.
