Frankie Hinojosa is a 2022 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-3 165 lb. frame from Austin, TX who attends IMG Academy. Large frame with lean, slender build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.08 seconds. Primary lefthanded pitcher, offline arm stroke with deep hooked acceleration, up to high 3/4 slot, steep plane, falls off 3B side, fastball worked 70-75 mph with some life, flashed deep 12/6 breaker with rolling depth. Hits from even-based stance, loads well, gets into good launch spot, solid bat speed, some length to stroke, whole field approach. Worked out in the outfield and showed solid athleticism moving downhill, clocked up to 79 mph on throws. Very good student.
